We're not really moving; just improving.
Is Franklin Imaging moving? Not really; we're planning to shift to another side of the same building, and this change will give the Worthington Resource Pantry - a crucial partner in our community since 2009 - more room to grow.
After our new space is renovated this spring, Franklin Imaging's address will officially become
502 Schrock Rd. (instead of the current 500 Schrock Rd.). It's simply a different side of the same building, so if you forget, just come to the same place you've always visited, and the new entry will be obvious!
Here are some FAQs
Is the new space just as big?
No, but it won't hold us back any. We've been so fortunate to have the luxury of spreading out across our full building over the past few years, but we're confident that we can offer the same services after we consolidate. We've already started purging the warehouse -- you'd be amazed what accumulates after 26 years in one spot -- and we've paired down our fleet vehicles, parted with plotters and donated skids of acrylic to our schools.
What will the new space be like?
Our current lobby has windows looking into production, but in the new space, nothing will keep you from the action. In fact, we've decided to place our flatbed and wallpaper printers right up front-and-center. Color accuracy is important too, so our new space will have lighting with a higher color rating index, and because we aim to be a resource to the design community, we'll have collaborative space as well. Our new digs will even include a large wood shop, dedicated paint booth and a huge warehouse bay dedicated to CNC routing.
Why does Franklin Imaging want to make this move?
We learned last year that our neighbor, the Worthington Resource Pantry, had outgrown their space and needed to move. Worried that they might need to leave Worthington to find a larger space within their budget, we reached out to see if we could help. We have long admired Worthington Resource Pantry's work in our community, and we believe that we can play a role in ensuring that the Pantry continues to operate in our community for many years to come.
Fun fact: the inspiration for our production shop floors was a Giant Eagle, so we find it fitting that the WRP grocery store will soon be in that space.
Why is Worthington Resource Pantry interested in moving?
We think they explain it best...Bigger space. Bigger opportunities. Bigger Impact. Read more in their own words at worthingtonrescurcepantry.org/onthemove.
