We've got something to help you scratch that creative itch!

Enter the Franklin Imaging Office Design Contest

After converting part of our headquarters into a school for our employees' kids during the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve now got space that’s begging for a redesign. Our goal is to recreate multiple rooms so they can be offered for single day or short-term use to the Columbus creative community. There’s a maker’s studio, two offices, a conference room, an expansive hall area and a podcast studio.

We’ve already upgraded the kitchen area, but knowing these rooms need to inspire and spark the imagination, we decided a design contest could be the best way to end up with a truly original outcome.

Other than requiring the use of some type of wallcovering (because white office walls are so dull), there are few other restrictions. Let your mind wander. Love nature? Go biophilic. Adore space? Let’s work together to bring it indoors. Crazy about science, or animals or history? Whatever your passion, have a little fun incorporating it into a fanciful design.

Why enter?

First for the fun. You aren’t beholden to a client, only your own ingenuity.

Second, because we’ll cover the expense of any stock images, printed materials, fabrication and installation – that means no cost to you, only a winning payback that includes:

– Recognition (we’ll be promoting the winners on social media and other outlets, as well as a permanent recognition plaque in each space)

  • Professional photographs of the completed space for your portfolio

  • A $100 gift card to Blick, the dream store for artists

  • An opportunity to try different materials, methods and design elements on walls, floors and other surfaces – it’s your chance to try something completely new

Absolutely anyone is welcome to submit an entry. We really want to see your ideas and inventive designs.

You’ve got until January 19th to send in your entry and our Office Design Guide will give you all the details.

Ready to think big and design bold? Show us what you got!
